Class Description

Sundays @ 1:30 - 4:00 pm, March 31 - May 5 with Michelle Chae Learn all the techniques that you need to create everything to fill your kitchen cabinets and dining room table! Improve your wheel throwing abilities by shaping forms with volume in mind and creating matching sets. This class will cover bowls, plates, cups, mugs, jars, creamers and more. **Please only register for this course if you can effectively perform the following tasks on the wheel independently: centering, opening up, pulling up the walls, and trimming. Week 1: Cylinder Refresher (Elevated Bowls) Week 2: Dinner & Dessert Plates Week 3: Drinkware (Cup Sets, Mugs, Tumblers, Goblets & Handles 101) Week 4: Jars & Other Fun Table Accessories!!! Week 5: Work Day/Trimming Week 6: Glaze Day! Class includes: - 25 lbs of clay - 6 weeks of 2.5 hours of instruction - Unlimited use of the studio during open studio hours - Firing fees - Glazes

Class Fees & Schedule: - Class fees cover instructed class time (as listed in specific class schedule), use of tools and equipment, open studio hours, studio glazes and kiln firings - Pottery class fees include 25 lbs of clay - Classes are subject to change if the minimum student quota (7) isn't met - Class switches will only be available one week prior to the commencement of classes and are based on the capacity of classes at time of request Attendance: - It is mandatory for all students who are new to the studio attend the first class - No “make-up” classes are given but drop-in's are welcome in another class if space permits - For adult classes, participants must be at least 14 years of age Personal Belongings: - Any items left behind 30 days after the final class meeting may be discarded without notice Refund Policy: - Class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable - Refund or credit (minus $20 processing fee) if a cancellation request is received at least TWO WEEKS prior to the start of class - Cancellation requests 48 hours or less than to start class, a credit (no refund) MAY be granted ONLY if your spot can be filled - No refunds or credits after attending 1st class - Classes missed due to failure to attend, planned absences, minor illnesses or vacations will not be credited for future classes Student Open Studio Hours: Monday - Thursday: 10AM - 6PM Friday - Sunday: 10AM - 9PM Hours subject to change upon five days' notice
